So. San Diego. I can't even begin to describe what an amazing time I had on that trip! We made a few stops first, since we wanted to take full advantage of the fact that we had decided to drive all the way down. That was one of the longest drives of my life (second to the drive from here to OKC). Well,
rides I should say, since I still don't know how to drive a standard (yes, that is what I call manual transmission vehicles).
Anyway, our first official stop was at this cute little Danish town called Solvang. Jacques knew about this bakery shop called Olsen's and that was where we had breakfast that morning. So after some [very strong] coffee and a cinnamon roll, we headed off to explore a little bit of the town:

I just thought this was neat that this little inn had bicycles to ride around the town! |

Something just drew my attention to this lamp post, not really sure what. Maybe I'd been thinking too much of Chronicles of Narnia or something... |
Naturally, our next stop was for lunch, at Neptune's Net in Malibu, which is "famous" because it is the location where a scene from
The Fast and the Furious was filmed. The scene was on the patio seating area, right after a successful race against a Ferrari; they stopped and ate there afterwards.

Neptune's Net! The food was great too! |

View of the beach directly across from Neptune's Net! Beautiful! |

Detailing on a wood post at the beach... I just liked how this turned out. |
Next up, we have our stop in Pacific Beach. This is actually in San Diego, and it was on the last day that we were there, after a long day at the San Diego Zoo the day before... I'm actually not posting any of the zoo pictures because, to be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the place. And I really love zoos because I like photographing animals... but it just didn't really have many animals to capture. So I'm just skipping ahead to Pacific Beach:

I love this picture of my mom walking along the beach shore without a care in the world! |

Capturing a small portion of the "beach life" :) I would love to live here!! |
|
This view would definitely give me more motivation to run every morning!! So pretty & peaceful! (and I love that I caught a runner at the edge of the photo) |
|
This is one of my favorites; I saw that "RESCUE" board just sitting there and couldn't resist a photo opp! |
|
Okay, I lied, this is from the San Diego Zoo; Jacques actually caught a decent photo of me while traveling through the zoo on the Kangaroo Express Bus. :) |
